Black Tea


Black tea is more oxidized than the green, oolong and white varieties.


After picking, the leaves are withered, then bruised by rolling, inducing oxidation. The leaves are dried/fired by heating them in an oven reducing the moisture content.


Black tea is generally stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine than the less oxidized teas.
